This window shade attaches to the a pillar on the right of the windshield. When you get out of your vehicle and you want to block the sun coming through the windshield you can simply pull it and stretch it across to the a pillar on the left of the windshield and hook it. When you pull it a window shade a shade will stretch across the windshield locking the sun. As this item is used is does not include the double sided tape to stick it on. The price has been greatly reduced from a new one due to this although everything is in excellent condition.
